Punsapaya Rock / Pop ![]() The now defunct Punsapaya were Chicago's premier rock band who had taken home The Chicago Music Awards the title of Best Rock Album of the year in the past for their debut effort, "Prepare to Qualify." Punsapaya also grabbed the runner up slot for Best Rock Entertainer as well. Combined with clearly classic studio work, Punsapaya's live show slumbers any doubt that they are the epitome of rock and roll. Punsapaya has shared the stage with such acts as: The Legendary Wailers, Rachel Yamagata, Bernie Worrell, Fishbone, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Jennifer Hartswick; on such stages as: The House of Blues, The Metro, Park West and The Double Door. At an average age of 25, Punsapaya's youth, experience, and grassroots buzz has led to a rapidly growing fanbase of many demographics.
