Dorian Arena was born July 7th, 1985 in Bogotá, Colombia. After showing remarkable vocational skills and talent, he began playing music at age 15.
In his early years he founded his own high school band. As he became more interested in the music business, he decided to go for it by pursuing a major in performance at Berklee College of Music, institution where he attended for 5 years and completed his music training.
Later on he formed a band under his own name; they participated in music festivals such as “La Fête de la Musique” in Bogotá, and other local events in Colombia, playing covers and some original material for 2 years. Then they separated in 2007.
He decided to work on his own, creating new and original material mixing Rock and Electronic Music.
He’s been influenced through out his musical development by many styles and artists, going from 80´s Rock and Electronica to Movie Scores. Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, White Snake, Def Leppard, Winger, Michael Jackson are perhaps his closest influences.
Dorian Arena is doing his professional debut with the album “On the inside”. This Album contains and combines electronic elements along with a live Rock Guitar.
